Objectives

We aim to bring NGOs and youth from the Euro-Mediterranean region together in an environment of tolerance and mutual understanding by assisting them in networking and capacity building, increasing their participation and exchanging good practice.

The geographical scope of the Euro-Med Youth program Phase IV comprises 35 countries: the 27 European Union Member States and 8 of the Mediterranean partner countries and territories, of the Barcelona Declaration (Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestinian Authority and Tunisia).

Our objectives are:

  • To stimulate and encourage mutual understanding between young people within the Euro-Mediterranean region and to fight against stereotypes and prejudices.
  • Uphold intercultural understanding, democracy, respect, active citizenship and solidarity.
  • Promote the concept of youth policy as an integrated and cross-sectoral element of overall policy development.
  • Deepen European integration while at the same time contributing to the development of youth work in other regions of the world.
